The Official School Paper of Students’ Haven Tutorial & Learning Center
The Students’ Haven Tutorial & Learning Center commenced its journalism stint in 2015 when Gianne Patricia M. Pasao ranked 6th in the Division Schools Press Conference, and came back strong after a year. In 2017, Gianne hailed as champion in the Feature Writing Category-English during the National Schools Press Conference which was held in Pagadian City in Zamboanga Peninsula.
That stellar performance has inspired a number of pupils to participate in the Journalism Club and eventually came up with the idea to write the first issue of The Havensent. Armed with intensive training in all sections of the paper, they took the challenged of replicating the champion status of SH’s first NSPC contender.
Truly, chances favor those who are prepared. In Dumaguete City, the host of the 2018 NSPC, The Havensent immediately bagged three awards: 5th in Science category, 5th Best School Paper in the Philippines and Champion in the Feature Page.
In Lingayen, Pangasinan, The Havensent landed on the same spots in the 2019 season of NSPC, making the Students’ Haven school paper, the 3-time champion in the Feature Category.
In 2020 NSPC, Cagayan Valley edition, The Havensent won for the first time in Sports Page (4th) and News Page (7th), again in Science and Technology Page (6th) and still the 5th Best School Paper in the Philippines.

Math Club
Mathematics has been a waterloo of some students. With this in mind, the Math teachers in this school organized a club which can help pupils with this difficulty. Apart from this, Sir Kiko also encouraged those Mathematically inclined children to join this club. The Friday meeting of Math enthusiasts became the training ground of kids to join inter-school contests.
On their first attempt to join Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines or MTAP, a group of students spearheaded by Sir Kiko went to Rosario Institute where the METROBANK-MTAP -DEPED Math Challenge contest was held last 2019. The Grade 4 contenders won the 12th place in the team competition composed of Keille Chester Marquez, Julienne D. Lichauco and Gaddiel del Rosario. This was the first but definitely not the last strike of the Math achievers of Students Haven.
On-line School Platform
Our teachers deliver lessons through online platforms exclusively powered by V-Smart, a learning management system that supports self-paced learning, both synchronous and asynchronous formal education online.
Pupils are required to attend classes regularly and access Vibal’s DepEd aligned digital curriculum across all subjects.
Teachers facilitate online classes securely from abovementioned platforms together with other online learning tools.
