Ma. Charisma O. Pagtakhan
School Principal
She is a graduate of the University of the Philippines with a degree of Elementary Education major in Teaching in early grades. She is also a product of the Philippine Science High School which became her training ground to maintain excellence academically. She has developed practical teaching approaches with diverse learners and commitment in the study of Early Childhood Education. To further expand her horizon, she pursued an MA in Special Education at De La Salle Univeristy – Taft Campus. Her teaching experiences include 7 years in Elizabeth Seton School as a preschool teacher; training from Mahatma Gandhi International School in Manila and 3 years of multi-level teaching at Blessed Light School in Kawit, Cavite.
Alexander E. Blanco
Administrator & Publication Adviser
Our Language Teaching specialist and also the School Administrator of STUDENTS’ HAVEN. He has engaged himself in the current theories and practices on languages through his commitment in professional development. He worked as a foreign language instructor to diplomats, expatriates, Filipino-American heritage speakers and business executives of multinational companies in the Philippines. He conducted college and professional classes from introductory to advanced levels based on tested methods of language instructions within the local and international communities. Teacher Alex was educated from two most prestigious schools in Southeast Asia – University of the Philippines – Diliman and University of Indonesia – Jakarta.
Francis Norman H. Pagtakhan
Finance Officer/Math teacher
The Finance Officer of SH who is also a Math Teacher… The finance Officer who has dual role being the Upper Elementary Teacher for Math is fondly called Sir Kiko by many. He is a licensed Mechanical Engineering graduate from Mapúa University who previously worked for a multi-national company for 15 years. He joined the band wagon of education to help in the management of the school. Apart from his Math skills, he attended seminars primarily to help with the teaching strategies for Math aspirants to join contests.
He has been enjoying the realm of teaching, and so as the grade school pupils who love his strategies partnered with his jolly personality. These traits make Sir KIKO an inspiration to the future engineer wannabes at Students’ Haven.
Ronalyn P. Permalan
Teacher Rona as fondly called by her colleagues and students is a Licensed Professional Teacher. She is a Cum Laude graduate with a degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education with Specialization in Early Childhood from Cavite State University. She is a Reading and Math teacher of Preschool level. She really enjoys engaging in funny moments with kids that is why she is loved by her pupils for 7 years now at SH. Her dedication to the academe can be seen in her commitment to little kids.
Abigael D. Monzon
She is both SH’s MAPEH and Araling Panlipunan teacher who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Cavite State University. Miss Abby as everybody calls her, loves to teach children, and is the main reason why she majored Early Childhood Development. It took her 10 years to fulfill this dream because she tried to take another route, and finished a Computer Secretarial while on leave from the State University. Truly, her burning passion to teach children pushed her to get her diploma. She definitely found her purpose, and that is ---to teach.
Rosario C. Genzon
She is a Licensed Professional Teacher and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Major in Literature at Holy Name University, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. She earned her Education units at University of Perpetual Help Systems Dalta-Las Pinas Campus. Teacher Rose believes that teaching is a vocation & a calling from God. This gives her the sense of contentment and joy as she touches the lives of many people from all walks of life, and also open the hearts and minds of children to whom God has entrusted her with.
Alyssa Patrisse Alonzo
She earned her bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science at the University of Santo Tomas and graduated Cum Laude. Ms. Pat is very passionate about teaching and helping children to learn. The English subject is one of her strengths. She finds fulfillment especially when she sees her students improve in their reading and writing skills. Through her creativity and enthusiastic personality, students remain motivated in the classroom. She believes that joining the academe is both a redirection and a calling from God.
Mary Joy Cabuslay
She is a Licensed Professional Teacher. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education major in General Education "With Distinction" at Ilocos Sur Polythecnic State College, Sta. Maria. Her passion in teaching turns into responsibility which requires a commitment to education. Seeing her students to develop and grow is an achievement. She believes that the consequences of her students' lives depend on her function as a teacher.
Jim Ron Baybay
Quiet yet surprisingly competent individual. A cum laude from Northern Christian College. With a passion for traditional and digital drawing, he'll put his creative skills to use in the teaching environment. Though new to the field, he's hardworking and determined to give his students the quality education that they deserve.
